No problem. If you're lucky and it's not too crowded, he'll throw in free dessert, too. On Wednesday he gave me a little plate of halvah and a sprig of dates; last Saturday it was melon slices from the market.

Wow. I know where I'm eating tomorrow night. At €4.50 a shot, I may have two bowls of bouillabaisse if it's still on the menu. Thanks for the tip.

His opening hours really vary--I know last night he was planning on closing early. Best to call: I've just pulled out his card (a scrap of notebook paper with his stamp on it) and there's a mobile number: 0175 115 22 17. Also the official address: Kantstrasse 85A.

There was no rouille with the soup; sadly, I have never experienced bouillabaisse with rouille. But that is bread on the plate, and it's not covered, it's cut right where the napkin is.

The bread looked homemade, or at least home-finished, but I didn't ask.

Terrific! How late does he stay open? And was there rouille and croutons with the fish soup, or is that bread covered up by the silveware in that pic?
