However, the weekends are a different story. The mother of the owners cooks a specialty Sri Lankan/Tamil menu featuring Idli (grainy dumplings, Friday), Butter Dosai or Puri (lentil-filled bread and fluffy fried bread respectively, Saturday) and Masala Dosai (potato-filled bread) or Puri on Sunday. Each bread order comes as a meal with several curries and small portions of (actually) spicy pâté for mixing your own dose of Scharf, as well as a cup of tea. I thought time had toughened me up but, as you point out, it's just because Berlin had enwimpened my heat-resistance.
